Used it for a laminate floor worked great around every obstacle in an old house

Great ability to transfer lines and much better than the old needle design. I actually attached these to my stair gauges and used them to measure and scribe between beams in my cathedral ceiling for trim boards. I drilled the stair gauges {small hole on each end} and removed a screw on each end of the scriber and used a slightly longer screw to attach. Did a perfect job of scribing the unparallel edges of the beams.
