My cats have never liked being brushed, but my older cat has been getting hairballs often and I wanted to get them accustomed to regular brushings. This brush has been really good at getting their brushing tolerance up. The plastic is very light and soft, so it doesn't irritate their skin. The brush itself is also light and relatively small, so it's easy to maneuver around gently to scratch their itchy places.
