Mobile Phone Timing Lock Box

I have struggled to stay off my phone as I have critical due dates to meet and going to sleep at a reasonable hour. With this lockbox, I set a realistic goal to stay off my phone for 2-3 hours, and I can just forget about the phone entirely while still being able to see it on the table/nightstand. I like the fact that it does not let me know when the timer has expired, since I can continue my boost of motivation without interruptions. I do recommend that a charger hole be included in future models.

This is a great tool to help with exercising self-discipline. It is a lightweight device that allows the phone to be unobtainable for the desired amount of time. I love that I can still answer my iphone, without getting distracted with social media apps.

I ordered this after hearing a radio program about how social media is designed to monetize our attention and that can lead to "doom scrolling." I would scroll for hours when I got into bed and it affected my sleep quality. I put my phone in this before bed (super uncomfortable for the first few weeks). I set the timer and fall asleep. I have noticed a huge difference in my energy level during the day.
