Levitating Moon Lamp

disregard the comments saying its impossible to make it float, with patience and strategy you can have a cool moon in your room. looks cool and serves as good nightlight. its bright enough to notice even in an already lit room, but not so bright to where you need to turn it off to sleep. only downfall if you were to have a power outage the moon falls to the platform and you have to re-float it. make sure to have it plugged in when setting it up.

I guess I was just expecting a cheesy plastic sphere and cheap plastic base. This is NOT cheap or cheesy. It is a very nice quality. It came packaged very well, very secure. The base has a nice wood tone and the moon is made of a sturdy plastic material and is actually textured and not just painted on. And it is sturdy. I have 2 young boys and they got their hands on it and some things happened but the moon survived to shine again. It is a bit tricky to levitate it at first. You need to hold it with both hands. Lower it slowly towards the base but don't let it go as soon as you feel the magnetic draw. It will try to pull to the side. You just gently and very slowly move it around a little and you will feel it kind of set in where it needs to be.

Great lamp. Unusual. Everyone liked it. The platform in reality looks better and better than in the photo. Great packaging.

Perhaps a little too little on size, but excellent quality. A great gift to give to yourself too !
