I bought one of these for my daughter to use at hotels when she travels. Then I got this 2 pack for my own home. I think it works best on uncarpeted floors. I know it works for me at the front door because I had reason to test it out yesterday when I had to come in by the front door instead of the garage because someone was blocking my driveway. I had completely forgotten about it and when I opened my door I was greeted with a piercing screaming alarm! Very happy to know it works.

The nice thing about these is that they install easily onto the hinge pin, and don't require screwing anything onto the wall or baseboard. Their adjustability means I can set the door to stop exactly where I want it to.
