The safety locks work great. Our cats can no longer open the lever handle door knobs. No nails. Easy to mount with double sided tape. We installed two a few months ago and both are holding up well.

Our door levers open by lifting up also, so I can’t talk about the buttons or sliding the lock. We purchased these to prevent our German Shepard Dog from letting herself out of the house. Their are two locks in the package and they work perfectly.

My dog has learned that he can open the front door, so when he get's excited when someone walks by or comes over he would dart out the door. I purchased this as an idea and it works great, he can't pull the handle down anymore so he is safer not being to get out of the house. I also works well as a back up to keeping the door locked at night.
